Warming promotes accumulation of microbial- and plant-derived carbon in terrestrial ecosystems

Download Whitepaper

Warming  affects plant-derived carbon more than microbial carbon, influenced by  ecosystem types and climatic regions. This meta-analysis of 142 studies  reveals that global warming increases soil carbon pools by 5.46%, with  microbial-derived carbon rising by 6.32% and plant-derived carbon by 3.70%.  Understanding these dynamics requires careful consideration of  soil-plant-microbe interactions.
