Streptomyces alleviate abiotic stress in plant by producing pteridic acids

Download Whitepaper

Streptomyces improve plant drought  and salinity stress tolerance by producing spiroketal polyketides, pteridic  acid H and its isomer F, which enhance Arabidopsis' root growth. These  compounds upregulate stress-responsive genes, suggesting a mechanism for  using Streptomyces to  boost crop resilience under climate change.
