Short-term restoration practices change the bacterial community in degraded soil from the Brazilian semiarid

Download Whitepaper

This  study examines the short-term effects of land degradation and restoration on  soil bacterial communities in Brazilian semiarid regions. Using 16S rRNA  sequencing, it finds distinct bacterial patterns between degraded, restored,  and native soils across dry and rainy seasons. Degradation increases  specialist microbes, while restoration promotes generalists, enhancing soil  stability.
