Microbiomics, the study of microbial community structure and dynamics, offers valuable insights into plant-soil-microbe interactions that can enhance ecosystem restoration. Despite its potential, microbiomics can be complex and technology may be inaccessible. Moving beyond basic microbial composition analysis, advanced metaomic tools and non-omic methods like microbial inoculants and biopriming can significantly improve restoration efforts by supporting plant health and community establishment.
